Melissa R. Brandman provides personalized and comprehensive estate planning counseling to couples, families and individuals, as well as probate and trust administration. She supplies strategies to reduce (or possibly eliminate) estate taxes, gives assistance in choosing the best guardian for children and creates thorough estate plans that ensure the needs and wishes of each client are met.

Ms. Brandman is a member of the Trusts and Estates section of the California State Bar and the Alameda County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before all California state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Central and Northern Districts and the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

In addition to estate planning services, Ms. Brandman has extensive experience in multiple areas of business and employment litigation.

Ms. Brandman received her B.A. from UCLA in 1998 and her Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law in 2001. Prior to practicing in the East Bay, Ms. Brandman was in private practice in Orange County, Calif.

She was born and raised in Southern California and now lives in Berkeley with her husband, Jake, and their daughter, Charlotte.
